Nico Paz Transfer to Como Confirmed: Full €60m Deal, Buy-Back Clause and Complete Transfer Details

Nico Paz Completes Permanent Transfer from Real Madrid to Como

Nico Paz has officially completed a permanent move from Real Madrid to Como 1907 in one of the biggest transfers of the 2026 summer transfer window.

The Italian club paid €60 million to sign the talented Argentine midfielder on a permanent deal after an outstanding spell in Serie A. The move was completed at the player’s request, as he wanted to continue his development under coach Cesc Fàbregas and play regular first-team football, including in the UEFA Champions League next season.

Although Real Madrid sold Nico Paz permanently, they included an important clause in the agreement. The Spanish giants have secured a buy-back option worth €80 million, which can be activated in the summer of 2027 if they decide to bring him back to the Santiago Bernabéu. Real Madrid also retained certain future rights over the player, ensuring they still have control over his long-term future.

Before the final agreement, Real Madrid had activated an earlier €9 million buy-back clause from the original contract. However, Como responded by agreeing to pay the new €60 million fee to keep Nico Paz permanently, with both clubs then negotiating the new €80 million buy-back clause.

The 21-year-old enjoyed an exceptional season with Como, becoming one of the best young attacking midfielders in Serie A. His performances attracted interest from several top European clubs, but he chose to remain with Como because he believes it is the best place to continue his development.
