What is a System Bet?
A System Bet allows you to cover multiple combinations of selections in a single bet, instead of just betting on one fixed combination (like in a straight or accumulator bet).
- In regular accumulator bets, all selections must win to get a return.
- In a system bet, you can still win even if some selections lose, depending on the type of system you choose.
This makes system bets less risky than straight accumulators but usually more expensive because you are placing multiple combinations at once.
2. How System Bets Work
Suppose you want to bet on 4 lottery numbers or match outcomes: A, B, C, D.
- In a straight accumulator, you must get all 4 correct to win.

- 12 & 23

- If the lottery draws 5, 23, 34, 40, then the winning 2-number combinations are:
- 5 & 23
- 5 & 34
- 23 & 34
You win 3 of the 6 combinations, even though not all numbers matched.
4. Example – Sports Betting
Suppose you bet on 4 football matches (Team A, Team B, Team C, Team D) to win, and you use a system 3/4:
- Your combinations: ABC, ABD, ACD, BCD
- If only Teams A, C, and D win:
- Combinations ABC → loses (B lost)
- ABD → loses (B lost)
- ACD → wins
- BCD → loses (B lost)
You win only the combination ACD, so your stake on that combination pays out.
