(-1.5) Set Handicap in Badminton Sports Betting Explained

In badminton sports betting, a (-1.5) set handicap means the favored player or team must win the match by at least 2 sets to cover the handicap and make the bet win.

How It Works:

Badminton matches are usually best of 3 sets. So a (-1.5) set handicap means:

  • The player/team you bet on must win 2–0 in sets.

Your Bet Wins If:

  • Your player/team wins 2–0 in sets.

Your Bet Loses If:

  • The match ends 2–1 (your player/team wins, but loses a set).
  • Your player/team loses the match.

Example:

  • You bet on Player A (-1.5 sets) vs Player B.
  • If Player A wins 2–0, your bet wins.
  • If Player A wins 2–1 or loses, your bet loses.
